Michael is Head of Structured FI Solutions at the British Business Bank, with over 20 years of experience in securitisation as both an investor and structurer. Here, Michael has played a key role in developing innovative financing strategies and has led the expansion of its capital relief, private securitisation, and specialty finance capabilities. His team leverages both cash funding and guarantees to enhance the capacity of UK SME lenders, reduce financing costs, and meet their diverse needs, facilitating more than £5 billion in lending to UK SMEs in the process.

Michael’s expertise spans a wide range of asset classes, including SME finance, mortgages, and other niche sectors across multiple jurisdictions. Prior to joining the British Business Bank, he held roles at institutions such as the European Investment Fund and S&P.
